WHO WE ARE

Our Story

Nestled in the mountains of Santa Elena, just 40 minutes from Medellín, Skyline Ecoliving is an eco-certified retreat where comfort meets nature. Powered by solar energy, surrounded by native forest, and built with sustainability at its core.

WHO WE ARE

Our mountain lodge offers handcrafted wooden cabins and cozy glamping tents, each with panoramic views over the Medellín valley. We collect and filter rainwater, run entirely on solar power, and have planted over 500 native trees to protect the ecosystem we call home.

Every stay supports the Skyline Foundation, which provides educational programs for local primary schools in Santa Elena.

Whether you are looking for a peaceful cabin in the mountains, a romantic glamping getaway, or an eco-friendly retreat near Medellín, Skyline is where nature, comfort and purpose meet.

OUR HISTORY

In 2019, while searching for a location to develop a lodging project, I found a plot of land in the mountains of Santa Elena with a spectacular view over Medellín. I wasn’t looking for a cold climate, I wanted somewhere warm, but something about this mountain captivated me.

We began building four cabins, all with the same design but each with a different viewing angle. None missed out on the panoramic view of the city and the mountains. We faced countless setbacks, but nothing was stronger than the desire to turn this dream into reality.

Then the pandemic hit. Construction was suspended for months, but we didn’t give up. When the moment finally arrived, guests began to show up, and with them came new challenges that made us think about giving up more than once. But our faith remained intact.

The mountain taught us that gold is green. Its abundance knows no limits, and we are guardians of its existence. That is why sustainability became our foundation: solar energy connected to every cabin, a rainwater collection and purification system, and over 500 native trees planted and counting.

Skyline has grown significantly over the past years. We generate employment for locals, support children in Santa Elena through our foundation, and continue to take care of this beautiful place. We want the whole world to know this paradise, to leave the rush behind, and to enjoy the mountain. We are a green lung that adorns the city of Medellín, and we are committed to responsible tourism, the growth of Santa Elena, and preserving its traditions.
